Violet's First Fish!

Violet Sisler had her very first fishing adventure today at the Glades Park Youth and Blind Persons Pond in Oakland, Maryland. She rigged her Barbie Fishing Rod with a bright bobber and a small piece of worm and made her first cast into the pond. Within seconds, the bobber was under water and Violet was reeling in a feisty bluegill! After a quick picture with her fishing buddy Mom, she put the fish in her net and released it back into the pond to fight another day. This was the first of many bluegills Violet caught, and was even brave enough to touch a few of the fish that she said were quite "slimy" ! At the end of her fishing adventure, I presented her with the "Fish Fish Award" which she will hang up next to the picture of her very first bluegill.
