Hair Rig for Big Carp

For years I saw big carp cruising the shallows but I always struggled to catch them. Sometimes they'd randomly hit a bait, but for the most part, I didn't target them, and even when I did, I just sat there bored, vowing in my mind to just target Bass next time. Just a few weeks ago I learned that European anglers target carp the way American angler's target Bass. After some research I took a European approach to targeting carp and it's literally improved my catch rate.

I recently caught and posted my personal best carp (25.5lbs), but have confirmed that my approach works in other locations as well. In my last outing at Loch Raven on 8/24 I caught multiple carp between 10-15 lbs. Each fish was released to grow bigger and help limit aquatic overgrowth. Look up how to tie a hair rig.
