The Day We Hit the Jack Pot!

Type: Nontidal
Region: Central
Location: Carroll county, private pond

If you fish enough you will have plenty of days that the fish are not that active and maybe you don't catch much, but every once in a while you hit the Jack Pot! Friday August 11th was one of those days. My first mate took the day off work to make sure all my equipment was right and to take care of any line tangles. We normally do not go to this spot in the morning, so I was on high alert hoping this would be the day. It was, FISH ON! All day long. 3 hours of fishing I caught 19 bass. My first mate caught 8. We may have caught every bass in the place. Oh, we caught a few of them twice. How do I know. My first mate lost a nice one and it ate half his rubber worm. I went back to the spot just a few minutes later. Bam! I nailed him. When I pulled him in he still had hald the rubber worm in his mouth. I caught him on a jig. Here was one of many. It will be a long time before we have a day like this.
