First Day of Fall, Topwater Striper Action in the Bay

On Saturday, September 23, 2017 the official first full day of Fall, my friend Erik Bugler and I had a great day of run-and-gun striper fishing on my boat out of Pasadena, MD. We were chasing around the bait balls and boiling fish along the southern end of Belvedere Shoal in 24' of water. Water temp was 76 degrees.

We caught some real nice keepers up to 29" and released a few more, all on surface jigs and light spinning tackle. What a blast!
