On Tuesday, I caught about every species. Due to high winds, I started out on the bay near Piney Point but I could have surfed in the Potomac. After the wind stopped around 2:45 that afternoon, I sprinted to my favorite spot with three surf rods. There I caught red drum, white perch, rockfish, spot, a young black drum (with vertical bars) and trout. I even caught lots of doubles with spot and white perch using bloodworms. I would have kept it going - but I had to leave for work! *DNR note-juvenile/young black drum are often confused with sheepshead because of their vertical black bars combined with a lighter, silvery coloration. The vertical bars on young black drum will fade as they age.
