White Claw, Blue Crab

Last week, on perhaps our last crab outing of the year, my Dad and I caught about 3 dozen heavy crabs. They ranged in sizes up to 8 inches, including the crab pictured with white claws. Needless to say we were surprised. We were crabbing in 8-10 feet of water in the upper bay on an incoming tide. We steamed and ate them this past Saturday.
