11 Year Old, Owen Salanik, Landed a Nice Rockfish

At the beginning of the striper season my son, Owen Salanik, caught a nice 38" rockfish on opening day. On Saturday December 2nd he put in work again, landing an almost identical fish. This ridiculously fat fish measured out to 38-1/2" with a weight of 26.12lbs. Another trip he will be talking about for days!! We were trolling on my buddy Jared Lamb's boat with some big baits and some small baits. This one hit the bigger of a tandem rig-8oz chartreuse jig with a 10" shad, south of the bridge.
