Big Pike and Big Pickerel

I have been fishing the local reservoir for Northern pike and chain pickerel in the fall for the last 5 years. I have never caught big fish like I have in my last 2 trips. I caught a 38 inch Northen pike and a 26 1/2 inch chain pickerel last week and a 40 inch Northern pike this week.
