Snakehead

Type: Nontidal
Region: Central
Location: Potomac River

Attached is a picture of one of 2 snakeheads i caught on the Potomac River near the mouth of the occoquon river on May 7th, 2011. Both fish were close to 15lbs and were dispatched quickly after landing them. I cannot remember how many i have caught in the last few years but probably close to 30 or 40.

DNR RESPONSE: Thanks for helping us to lower the population size of this invasive species in Maryland. Drop us info on the catch with a picture that clearly shows the fish is dead every time you kill one, and youll get entered again fs for helping out the bass population and the Potomac River ecosystem!
