This past week I had the opportunity to do a little fishing in the Salisbury area, before the water got too hard (icy). Wednesday, the 27th, I took the kayak out on Williams Mill, just south of DelMar, MD for about two hours. I had to break a little ice to get to open water, but once I did, I had an enjoyable time. It took a while for me to find fish but, once I did, I was able to catch 5 nice chain pickerel. The largest was just under 21 inches. All of them were caught on small, 1/8 oz jigs with yellow feathers or ducktail. All were released so they can be caught again. If youre interested is sharing in the experience, you can see parts of it here. The next morning I drove over to Pemberton Historic Park and caught another nice one from the shoreline.
