Northern Garrett High School Envirothon Team

Type: Nontidal
Region: Western
Location: Deep Creek Lake

Members of the Northern Garrett High School Envirothon Team participated in an ice-fishing adventure on Deep Creek Lake this past Saturday. Each student learned how to operate a power auger to drill the holes into the ice, clear the holes, and set up and bait the ice-fishing rods. Unfortunately, the "Reluctant Dragon" didn't give us any fish that day, and we had only one bite all morning. Hot chocolate and home-made brownies made the day, as well as the ice-sled rides given by 3-year-old Violet Sisler!
