With the record warm temperatures last week many areas of local ponds benefitted from thermal banking and bluegills, crappies and bass became active for several days.
Maryland Department of Natural Resources Officer, Andrew Shifflett, and I capitalized on the weather and pounded quality panfish from a central Maryland pond. Simple float and fly tactics caught the fish and we enjoyed excellent action for February.
