Magothy River Yellow Perch

Type: Tidal
Region: Central
Location: Magothy River

I had a good day on Sunday, with a couple of friends, seeking the ever elusive yellow perch. We tried some old spots but we ended up away from home. Thanks to the experience of local guides, Matt and Jenna, who lead Captain Drew to the honeyhole where we found this monster 14.5" spawned out yellow perch. It was colder than expected and it took a while to find the fish. The bite was very lethargic but was again on live minnows with jig heads under a suspended bobber. Overall it was a good day to teach a new Captain how to grab some big yellow perch on a windy and cold Sunday.
