Caught the biggest rockfish of my life with my fishing buddy Buck Hicks on his son's boat the HUNKERDOWN. The seas were calm and the sun was shinning. This was a special day for me because I had the opportunity to fish with my retired fire fighting buddies Buck Hicks and Jimmy Hines. You see we worked together in the 1980's and have tried to fish at least once a year together since our retirements from the Baltimore City Fire Department, Engine Co. 53. We were trolling planner boards with seven lines out using umbrella rigs and tandem rigs of white and chartreuse in color. The tide was coming in and we had a hit in about seventy feet of water. The fish was boated and boxed and we continued to fish until we caught our limit.
