Eastern Shore Ponds

Location: small mill pond just north of Salisbury

On March 16th, I had to opportunity to put the kayak on a small mill pond just north of Salisbury in Wicomico County. I was using small shad style baits as well as a 5 inch jerk bait and I was able to reel in a nice set of black crappie and five good chain pickerel. The largest crappie was just over 15 inches and the biggest pickerel was just under 22 inches. All fish were released to swim again. Since I had just gotten to the area and I figured my sister wouldn�t want me cleaning fish at her house. Tight Lines!
