Hickory Shad Run on the Potomac !

After seeing the reports of hickory shad running on the Potomac, I decided to go to Fletcher�s Boat House to try my skill. I haven�t been to Fletcher�s in more than 30 years, so this will be my first time shad fishing. I hoped my trout spinning gear would do. I rigged up tandem shad darts, and used a jerk/pause style retrieve. I had great fun catching and releasing six hickory shad. DNR note: Reminder that you must purchase a District of Columbia (DC) fishing license when fishing at Fletcher's on the Potomac.
