Sarah Stone fished Broadford Lake this week in search of her very first fish - and she accomplished that and then some! Using spinning rods rigged with slip-bobbers and fathead minnows for bait - we fished at one of my favorite spots. Within minutes one of the bobbers went under, and Sarah was reeling in her very first fish - an 18 inch chain pickerel! The action was constant as she caught some good sized black crappies, bluegills, and yellow perch - quite a great day for this novice angler! We took the fish home and made some delicious fish and shrimp chowder. - Alan Klotz
