Smallwood State Park

Type: Tidal
Region: Southern
Location: Smallwood State Park

I took a few hours to fish at Smallwood State Park yesterday. I was hoping to score a snakehead, but instead I ran across some largemouth bass. I caught somewhere around 14/17 bass, I lost count.

Using my "go to", a light blue swim bait. Great for a clear blue day. I caught fish using the shade of and the bridge pilings as cover. The tide was going out so the water was becoming shallow under the footbridge to the camping sites(2 1/2 to 3 1/2 feet). I waded out on the gravel beach and was hard bottom casting as I moved towards the bridge. (Starting at both ends of the footbridge working towards the center).

Nice day!
