The last couple of weeks have really warmed up with rising temperatures and better fishing. On Friday, May 4th, I took the kayak down to St. Marys River State Park and paddled around for a couple of hours. Using small 1/16 oz tube jigs I was able to reel in a nice bag of crappies as well as a few bluegills, a couple of largemouth bass and a very nice yellow perch. I brought home only two fish, since theres no need to fill the freezer this time of year. Hope everyone else is having success also. Tight Lines!!
