Great Day on the Potomac

I took my buddy out to Fletchers Boathouse this weekend to try to get in on the shad run before it ended and tie into some blue cats. We spent the morning catching a bunch of bluegills for bait then headed to Fletchers. We hiked up river a bit and found a spot we could cast into the channel. We hooked into 20-30 shad over the next couple hours including several Americans that pushed 3lbs. After a river side lunch we dropped some cut gills to the bottom and the blues didn�t disappoint. Many pushed 20 pounds. My buddy and I had a fantastic day and I think I wore him out.
