Type: Tidal
Region: Eastern
Location: Salisbury City Park
I was walking around the tidal boundary at the Salisbury City Park looking for signs of carp when I noticed a snakehead in a ditch carved out by the recent rain. It was laying in a small puddle still alive. I called the Department of Natural Resources to report it, and I cut its head off to destroy the fish. I even found someone who wanted to eat the fish (DNR note- they are good eating). I did not have any of my fishing gear so I could not weigh or get a length on it , but I would estimate the fish was around 25" and about 8 - 10 pounds.
