Big Catfish!

Location: Chesapeake Bay, Franklin Manor in Churchton, MD

I caught this big catfish in the Chesapeake Bay from the pier in Franklin Manor. We estimated it to be just over 2 feet and approximately 15 lbs. This was on Saturday, May 26. The second picture is a friend�s foot for comparison (he is a size 12).

P.S. � that catfish was tasty!

DNR note-based on the more close-up picture near the size 12 foot, this in a channel catfish, which would be unusual at Frnaklin Manor (southern AA county) during a drought/salty year. However, with all the rain and freshwater, the catfish is not suprising. If we get a drought in July/August, we may have bluefish in the area.
