On June 15 I was bass fishing about 100 yards downstream from the base of the Loch Raven Dam off Loch Raven Dr., while using a black buzzbait, I hooked and caught a large northern sSnakehead at 7:20AM. I was shocked! I had no idea they were in the Gunpowder... which is unfortunate but inevitable at the same time I guess.
About 30 minutes earlier, further upstream, I was using a Texas rig worm and and I saw a fish cone up and attack it about 18 from shore. I fought it for about 10 seconds and it got off the hook. It may have been a catfish, but after I caught the snakehead, it made me wonder if that was what the first fish was as well.
