Hey there, I made the hour and seventeen min. ride over to Mallows Bay on Monday. Dragged the kayak with me and wanted to see what I could catch - seven largemouth bass and one snakehead. The bass were caught on wacky worm, but mostly on a whopper plopper. The snakehead was taken on the whopper plopper too. I fished from 11:30 until 4 in a feeder creek to the left of the boat dock and one bass and the snakehead in the cove to the immediate right. I also had two white perch take the wacky worm, until they realized that if they let go of the worm they are Scott-free.
Ps yea they were nice bass! Amazed that the fishery there is as healthy as it is.
