I caught my new personal best snakehead over the weekend at 32" and 9.84lbs! She was guarding her fry and smashed a Booyah Poppin' Pad Crasher as I popped it through the fry ball. It was an absolute blast catching her!
I also landed one more Snakehead at 23" and lost, missed, or had blow-ups from at least nine more Snakehead. Lastly, I managed to land a nice 20" Largemouth which weighed in at 3.5lbs.
The bite overall was a bit slow, but that's likely due to many snakehead still being on beds. I observed no less than four mating pairs still sitting on and caring for beds. Hopefully these fish will stop spawning at some point this year!
