I intended to do some salt water fishing this morning but the winds drove me off and I wasn't getting any bites.
Around 1:30 I grabbed my #4 weight fly rod and went over to Calvert Cliffs State Park. Caught three largemouth bass and a slew of bluegill.
I fought hard for this big bass. He took one of my bluegill as I played him in, so I moved on for a moment. Then I came back to him. This time with a popper. He took it as a large snapping turtle fought him for it, nobody got anything, bass, turtle or me. So I waited him out. The turtle returned as he did. This time I got him but not without losing my popper to the fight.
