I am still in shock over this monster black drum! On the morning of July 6th 2018, I was lucky enough to hook up to the largest fish I have ever caught and have seen in the upper Chesapeake Bay. Light tackle jigging at it's best! At an estimated 80lbs+, this fish was a true Chesapeake jurassic beast! It was caught above (north of) the Bay Bridge. I didn't want to stress this fish anymore after the long fight it put up so a certified weight and measurement weren't taken. After a quick pic, it was revived and released to grow another 60 years. Thanks to Javy Hernandez for getting us out there in his 21ft Sea Hunt and Jimmy Le as my net man!
