Youghiogheny River Trout Fishing

The Youghiogheny River Catch and Return Trout Fishing Area continues to provide some good angling through the summer months. I fished the river last weekend in the morning, and there was not a lot of surface feeding activity. So I took off the dry fly and switched to a cream-colored woolly bugger and a bead-head black stonefly nymph pattern fished in the deeper holes. I had good success on brown and rainbow trout, and most of them took the woolly bugger as I stripped it back upstream.
