Pickerel Hot Spot

I caught this nice chain pickerel on the morning of August 17. I used a weighted rubber frog hopping along bottom grasses in a lake in southern Maryland. I didn�t have a ruler or scale so I measured it by using the kayak opening. Then, when I got home, I measured the opening to be 20 inches.

Two days ago I caught another pickerel in the same area. I'm not making this up! That one was substantially larger but, it flipped out of my hand as I was videoing so have only it in a video and not a photo.
