Big Bass Caught and Released In Upper Bay Tributary

Type: Tidal
Region: Central
Location: Middle River

Bass fishing with Maryland Bass Nation Conservation Director, Captain Scott Sewell is always a good time. He knows the Upper Bay tributaries well and lives to bass fish. On Sunday, August 19th, Scott and I fished out of Middle River on his 20' Nitro bass boat from 6am to 2pm. The fishing was slow, but at 8:30am I caught a big bass over 5 lbs on a plastic worm. We weighed it on an old, rusty scale so the fish was probably over 6 lbs! Scott caught a nice one on a crankbait at 11:30am. It weighed almost 4 lbs on our scale. Those were the only two largemouth bass we caught all day, but we were delighted!
