On Saturday morning I decided to do a little fishing in Stoney Creek near my house. It was a beautiful morning when I launched my kayak. Once I got settled I started out of the inlet. I decided, since the water was pretty high, to try a few casts just to see what I could catch. On my first cast, Wham! My rod bent in half and I had to quickly adjust the drag before it snapped. I didn't know what was on my line, just that it was big and it didn't want to go without a fight. I reeled it most of the way to the kayak when I decided to just grab the last bit of line and get it in the boat. Wow, was I surprised!
