Upper Bay Largemouth Bass Stocking

Successful largemouth bass spawning in the upper bay is limited due to a variety of environmental factors. On October 18, Scott Sewell, Conservation Director for Maryland Bass Nation, members of M.R. Bass, and members of the Marco Hunting and Fishing Club, assisted Joe Love of the Maryland Department of Natural Resources in distributing over 400 bass to Middle River tributaries. We transported 8 to 10-inch bass in the live-wells of our bass boats to the backs of various creeks. In an effort to improve upper bay bass fishing, M.R. Bass is raising funds to do more bass stocking in Middle and Gunpowder Rivers. We plan to do another stocking in early November 2018.
