Mid November on St. Mary�s Lake

I had a chance to go out on St. Mary�s Lake on Nov. 21. I was looking for a few panfish or yellow perch. I paddled around for a bit and caught a couple of largemouth bass and chain pickerel. I also caught one undersized yellow perch right as I was about to leave.

I found this little fish near the surface at one spot. I pulled it out of the water to look a little closer. As you can see it was about an inch and half long. I was just wondering what species it might be.
