Calvert County Pond Fish

Type: Nontidal
Region: Southern
Location: Calvert County Ponds

I fished three ponds on Nov.29 after a few days of trying my luck at St. Mary's Lake. I needed to try something different, and no WIND!! I fished the irrigation pond of a local golf course first, the second pond was at Calvert Cliffs State Park and the final one was a private pond in Prince Frederick.

I caught three largemouth bass in total. I caught nothing at the Calvert Cliffs pond which had ice on its shaded side. The other two ponds at Calvert Cliffs were clear and the hydrilla is almost gone. I used a Mr. Twister tail on a 1/8 jig attached to a Beatle Spin blade. I slowly retrieve the bait and bounced it off the bottom. What a beautiful day out!

The first photo is of the 500th largemouth bass Ive caught this year and the 1,107 fish Ive caught overall in 2018 and there's still a month left!
