Fishing on St. Mary's Lake

I hoped to catch some pickerel on Dec 4 at St. Mary's Lake, but could only find three largemouth bass and one crappie.

I caught all of the bass off of deep points and I believe the crappie are in 15� or deeper water. I could see them stacked up near drop offs towards the center of the lake. I caught all of the bass on swim jig, but the crappie was caught on 1/8 oz jig with a twister tail.

No pickerel, which was surprising, but water temps were 44-42 degrees. I looked for them in shallow and deep water. There was an awesome bonus sunset though.
