Gunpowder Report

I went fishing on the Gunpowder on Saturday (05/21/11) and caught some White Perch but also caught my very favorite type of Shad. I caught the shad by total accident but it did put up a very good fight and was exciting. On Sunday (05-22-11) I had another 1st when I hooked my 1st ever Yellow Perch which took me by surprise also since I didn�t expect on catching them this time of year. I was using just nightcrawlers on hooks.

Also witnessed on the Gunpowder on Sunday a large population of Carp which looked to be spawning. It appeared in the distance as mini explosions in the water since all you saw was splashing and rolling from the Carp. This appeared in all of the weed beds around the Dundee creek area that we noticed.
