This record-breaking fish was caught Jan. 23 a few miles above the historic Brookview Bridge along Marshyhope Creek by David Confair on a fresh cut piece of gizzard shad, while fishing for blue catfish. Species ID confirmed by a state biologist. The fish was kept alive for almost 2 days and released after record was confirmed.
