I stopped by Calvert Cliffs State Park on February 8th for a few hours to take a cast or two with my 4wt fly rod. The Department of Natural Resources stocked 300 rainbow and golden trout at Calvert Cliffs Park the day prior. I caught a total of nine trout on a #12 bead head nymph.
The pond is fairly small so you can basically catch fish from any of the open bank. Trout can be caught on power baits, red worms, small inline spinners and on flys. Remember you can only keep five fish and must have a trout stamp too.
