Perch Fishing - Western Shore

I spent a couple of days dialing in colors and rigs which ended up with two solid days of winter kayak fishing for yellow perch. After the barrage of rain I got into a mix of white and yellow perch on my first trip and all yellows on the second trip. All were caught on an outgoing tide with clearing water conditions and they're all very full of eggs. I�ll practice catch and release for the rest of the season for that reason. All fish were relatively deep for my area compared to last year. I'm looking forward to getting out with last year's new captain in the next few weeks for the run to show him the ropes. Happy fishing!
