Eastern Shore Bass and Snake

I caught a nice two pound largemouth bass on the Eastern shore with spots on the side. I also caught something I didn't want to catch, a snake. Not sure what kind it is, though.

DNR Response:From the photo it is tough to say for sure. We think this is probably a northern water snake OR eastern banded water snake, but tough to say for absolute certain. You can see all of the Maryland species on the department's snake identifier.
