On Thursday April 25th, I fished Lake Collision in Calvert County. My target species was largemouth bass.

I was casting several baits, but was only catching fish on a paddle tail plastic on a 1/4 oz jig and wacky worm rig. I caught three largemouth bass and a yellow perch and released all of them.

As I was loading up my kayak, I noticed fish swimming into the lake from the Chesapeake Bay. The fish were swimming through two concrete culverts that connect the lake to the bay under Seahorse Beach. To my surprise the fish were carp and gizzard shad. There must had been well over 100 carp. Very cool to witness the event.
