On Saturday May 4th. We fished from 10am until 1pm, starting at Matapeake Pier. Nothing, not even a hit! My wife and I were using fresh jumbo bloods and fresh bunker.
We packed it up and headed to the Choptank. We fished the rockpile behind the hospital and caught 6 catfish. 2 blue cats and 4 channels. Then we went over to the bridge on rte 50 and caught a few more catfish until I got a big hit. My rod bent and when I grabbed it I saw a fish jump out of the water. After a nice little battle , I reeled in a 27in rockfish! Which was promptly released after a pic or two. All in all it was a very slow day.
