Little Blackwater River

I fished the Little Blackwater River off Egypt Rd today targeting snakehead. While casting a top water frog I hooked into a nice fish but she came unbuttoned. It took five more casts crossing over her fry ball before she took the bait.

The only other fish I caught was a largemouth bass, well actually, the only fish I caught on the same frog. I spoke with three other fishermen and only one had landed a snakehead in the 20� range. One guy fished there last evening and landed three, saying the bite was on as the sun got lower in the sky bringing the snakehead out from deep in the lily pads.
