Snakehead in Pasadena

Type: Nontidal
Region: Central
Location: Pasadena Pond

I caught a snakehead in a pond in Pasadena on Thursday. It was 24.5 inches and 3 lbs, 2 oz. I was throwing a chatterbait and it hit the lure, sat for a minute, then ran with it. It was like fighting a alligator, I could barely reel it in! Fried it up on the grill and it tastes a lot like cod. They should name it Chesapeake Cod to make it sound appetizing! I did my thesis work on invasive blue catfish in the Patuxent so it was nice to catch and eat another invasive species of MD, although I wish it wasnt so close to where I live.
