The weather finally broke, the air temperature was a comfortable 68 degrees so, I grabbed a few fishing rods and headed over to St Marys Lake for some fishing. The rain was falling softly on the surface of the lake. I picked up my fly rod, casting a bead head nymph along side a lay down, a soft tap, my line twitches, I lift the rod tip. The first of 34 bluegill tugged on the end of my 4 weight rod. I repeat the cast and again I see my line move, this time to my left. Repeat. Along with the bluegill I caught four bass as well, casting spinning gear rigged with a Ned Rig.
