The Past Few Days of Fishing

Over the past three days I fished from shore and from my kayak.

On Saturday, 9/14/19, I fished a small beach off Dowell Rd. It was a busy day and I only had a few moments to fish. I cast a beetle spin looking for sea trout but only caught 5 perch and 2 Atlantic lizardfish.

Today, 9/16/19, I tried to catch some sea trout, again. A buddy told me that he caught six off of Driftwood Beach and had the photos to prove it. He caught them on a small jig about 50 yards off the beach.

So I dropped my kayak in and fished the bay along the beach. No specks, but I did catch 62 or 65 rockfish. I kinda lost count. Most of the fish were under but a few over 19� the biggest 21�. I was catching them on a 1/4 oz jig with white paddle tail. The larger fish were way off shore near crab pots. I followed the birds and breaking fish.
