Saturday Morning Outing

Type: Nontidal and Tidal
Region: Southern
Location: Calvert Cliffs State Park

I met a friend at Driftwood Beach on Saturday to do some striped bass fishing. As it turned out, the bay was too rough so we headed to Lake Collusion. We spent about two hours fishing before my buddy had to be somewhere else, catching only one largemouth bass on a beetle spin before we had to leave.

I went home and changed up my gear to a 4wt fly rod and I headed over to Calvert Cliffs State Park. There I caught and released two trout and three bluegill on a bead head nymph.
