On 6/4/2011 I landed this 16inch rainbow trout in the pool by the visitors center of Catoctin Mountain Park. I had previously seen this fish in the riffles but couldnt get him to take a fly. That all changed when I floated a #20 CDC Sulphur Emerger by him. He hit the fly hard and for the next five minutes I endeavored to land him without snapping the 6X leader. He broke drag 3 times. A fish this size is not unheard of in BHC but is certainly reaching maximum proportions. Thanks to Mr Bow for a wonderful time, my heart was still pounding 5 minutes after landing him.
