Selective Harvest - Mixed Bag

Last week I fished near Vienna MD on a small tributary of the Nanticoke River. The weather was slightly uncooperative, being overcast with the threat of rain. I had rain gear on my kayak so I was prepared and headed out anyway. Using live minnows, I was rewarded with non-stop action the whole day. I caught several yellow perch along with black crappie, white perch, snakehead and one blue catfish. I kept only a few to eat, and released the rest. It was the first time eating blue catfish and it was pretty good. All the fish seemed to be holding to the log jam structure. Tight lines!
