Lower Savage River

The Lower Savage fished tough on Father�s Day with only a handful of fish caught and a few more missed on hook sets. Every year I wait on the first whitewater release in June to flush out the dying Didymo before fishing the Savage. The river is very difficult to wade now with summer flows and tough to nymph because the didymo is still so thick.
